3M respirator cartridges and filters

The cartridge does the real work in a reusable respirator. 3M 6000 series cartridges clip on with a bayonet fitting to the 6000 series half and full masks and the 7502.

Which cartridge?

• 6001: organic vapours: paints, thinners, solvents.
• 6002: acid gases such as chlorine and hydrogen chloride.
• 6003: organic vapours and acid gases together.
• 6004: ammonia and methylamine (refrigeration, fertiliser, cleaning).
• 6005: formaldehyde and organic vapours (labs, resin work).
• 2091 and 7093: P100 particulate filters for dust, fumes and oil and non-oil mists; 7093 has a hard case for hot or wet work.
• 5N11 with 501 retainer: particulate pre-filter over a gas cartridge, or with the 603 holder for dust only.
• 3301K-55: organic vapour cartridge for the 3M 3000 series mask.

Change cartridges when you can smell or taste the contaminant or as your safety plan says. Fit them to a 3M reusable respirator. More in respiratory protection.
