3M reusable respirator
A reusable respirator is a mask body that takes replaceable cartridges or filters. When the cartridge is used up you change only the cartridge, not the mask. 3M 6000 series and 7502 masks use the bayonet fitting of the 3M 6000 cartridges (6001 to 6006) and the 2091 and 7093 particulate filters.
Which model?
6100, 6200, 6300: the same light half mask in small, medium and large. Medium (6200) fits most adults.
7502: silicone half mask with an easy-breathing valve and a drop-down head harness, for long shifts.
6800: full facepiece with a soft silicone seal and a wide lens; protects the eyes and face as well, for chemical work and spraying.
Use and care
The mask alone gives no protection: pick the right 3M cartridge or filter for the hazard. Do a seal check every time you put it on, clean the mask after the shift and store it in a closed bag away from fumes. More in respiratory protection.
