Karam rope restraint lanyards: 12 mm polyamide twisted rope or 11 mm kernmantle rope, with your choice of loops, karabiners, snap hooks or scaffold hooks.
Karam rope restraint lanyard
A restraint lanyard keeps a worker from reaching an edge where they could fall. It is a fixed length link between the harness and an anchor and has no energy absorber, so it is for restraint and positioning, not for stopping a fall. Karam rope lanyards come in 1.0, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0 m.
How to choose
Twisted rope (12 mm polyamide): the common, economical choice.
Kernmantle rope (11 mm): a sheathed rope with a coloured tracer strand that fades when the lanyard is due for replacement.
Adjustable kernmantle: a metal adjuster sets the length up to 2 m.
Ends: loops, karabiners and snap hooks for harness D-rings and anchors; the large scaffold hook clips onto pipes and scaffold tubes.
