Karam special full body harnesses: the PN22(AS) antistatic harness for explosive areas, and PN22(DE) and PN42(DE) non-conductive harnesses for electrical work.

Karam antistatic and dielectric harness

Some sites need more than a standard harness. In oil, gas and chemical plants a spark from static can ignite the air; near live lines metal fittings can carry current. Karam makes harnesses for both.

  • PN22(AS) Nospark: antistatic webbing and thread to stop static build up, stainless steel buckles and a forged aluminium back D-ring.
  • PN22(DE) Dienoc: non-conductive fittings and two front textile loops, for electrical and utility work.
  • PN42(DE): flame resistant work positioning harness with non-conductive D-rings and elastic shoulder straps.

Where is an antistatic harness needed?

In areas where a spark could ignite gas, vapour or dust, such as refineries, paint shops and chemical plants.

Is a dielectric harness for electricians?

Yes. Its non-conductive fittings suit work near electrical lines and panels, along with other electrical safety gear.
