Ear muffs are quick to put on and off, so they suit people who move in and out of noisy areas. 3M Peltor Optime muffs have soft foam cushions, a padded adjustable headband and pivoting cups for a good seal.
Optime 98 H9A: light and slim, for moderate noise in workshops and plants.
Optime 101 H7A: deeper cups for louder areas such as building sites, factories and airports; NRR up to 28 dB (maker’s rating).
Replace the cushions when they harden or crack. For very loud noise wear 3M ear plugs under the muffs. More in hearing protection.
