One spark is enough

Many serious fires at factories and construction sites start during hot work, often in a different area from where the welding is done. Good permits, fire watch and housekeeping prevent them. The training is built around your own permit system and work areas.

What is hot work?

Any work that produces flames, sparks or heat, such as welding, gas cutting, grinding and brazing.

Why is a fire watch needed?

Sparks can start a slow fire that only becomes visible after the work ends. The fire watcher stays during and for a time after the job.

Do you cover gas cylinder safety?

Yes, including storage, handling, connections and flashback arrestors.

Do participants get a certificate?
