Udyogi special helmets: Electra and Ultra Tuff 2000 for electrical work, and the Thermoguard 9000 fibre glass helmet for furnaces and radiant heat.

Udyogi helmets for electrical and heat work

Electricians and furnace crews need more than a standard hard hat. Udyogi makes three special helmets:

  • Electra (HDPE) and Ultra Tuff 2000 (polycarbonate): non-conductive shells; the maker rates them for 20,000 volts for 3 minutes (maker’s rating). Ultra Tuff 2000 has a fixed ratchet and accessory slots.
  • Thermoguard 9000 (FRP): fibre glass shell for areas with high radiant heat, such as foundries and furnaces; light but strong.

Pair with an arc flash face shield for panel work. More in safety helmets.

Use a helmet with no metal parts and an electrical rating from the maker, such as the Electra or Ultra Tuff 2000.
