Karam retractable fall arrester
A retractable fall arrester (self retracting lifeline) is fixed above the worker. The line pays out and pulls back as the person moves, and locks within a short distance if they fall. Karam PCGS blocks have a high impact polymer casing and a 4.5 mm galvanised steel wire rope with a swivel snap hook and load indicator.
Which length?
MIC02 Micron (2 m): the lightest block, with an aluminium quarter turn locking hook and fall indicator; for short moves.
PCGS05 to PCGS10: roofs, platforms, tanker loading.
PCGS15 to PCGS30: tall structures, towers and long ladders.
PCGS06: for anchors at foot level where the line may run over an edge.
