A road stud (cat eye) is a small raised marker fixed on the road that shines back in headlights, so drivers see the lane line, edge, median or turn at night and in rain. Dark Eye studs come in plastic and aluminium bodies with one-way or two-way reflectors in amber, red or white.
Which stud?
Plastic (DA-51, DA-54, DA-978, DA-1007, DA-1012): parking, campuses, factory and city roads.
With shank (DA-52, DA-971-P): the shank goes into a drilled hole for a firmer grip; the double shank holds best.
Aluminium (DA-971, DA-972): heavier traffic and highways.
