Cable protectors on this page
When a power cable, data line or hose has to cross a path, laying it loose is a trip hazard and the cable gets crushed. A cable protector is a ramp with channels for the cables and a cover on top. This category has two products, both from H2.
- H2 heavy duty rubber cable protector, 1 to 5 channel: rubber ramps with yellow lids for places where vehicles drive over the cables, such as roads, gates, event sites and plant roads. Models: 1 channel with flap, 60 mm (H2CP-1-75); 2 channel, 50 mm (H2CP-2); 3 channel, 50 mm (H2CP-3-45); 4 channel, 65 mm (H2CP-4); and 5 channel, 45 mm (H2CP-5).
- H2 1 channel cable protector, rubber and plastic: 1 m long single channel floor covers that keep cables flat on floors and walkways so no one trips. Options: 15 mm or 35 mm, in black rubber or yellow plastic.
How to choose a cable protector
- Traffic: where cars or trucks will drive over the cables, use the heavy duty rubber ramps. For offices, halls, stages and walkways with foot traffic, the 1 channel floor cover is enough.
- Number of cables: count the cables and hoses that must cross and pick a model with enough channels. Leave room in each channel; do not force a thick cable into a small one.
- Cable size: compare the thickness of your cable or hose with the channel size listed for each model before you order.
- Material: black rubber is heavier and stays in place; yellow plastic is lighter and easier to see.
- Length: measure the width of the road or path and order enough pieces to cover it end to end.
