Dark Eye search light models
A search light throws a strong, long beam, much further than an ordinary torch, so guards and site teams can check gates, boundaries, yards and dark corners from a distance. This page has three Dark Eye rechargeable hand-held models:
- DA-120, halogen: a halogen bulb that gives a warm, bright beam.
- DA-121, 3 W LED: a light, LED model for patrol and general use.
- DA-122, 10 W LED: the brightest model in the range, for long beams across yards and sites.
All three are rechargeable and have a shoulder strap, so the light can hang from the shoulder while the user opens gates, writes in a log or climbs. Being hand-held, the beam can be pointed exactly where it is needed, which a fixed light cannot do.
How to choose a search light
- Beam needed: for long distances across yards, boundaries and open sites, the 10 W LED DA-122 is the strongest. For checking rooms, corridors and vehicles, the 3 W DA-121 is enough.
- LED or halogen: LED lights use less power, so they run longer on one charge. Halogen gives a warmer light that some users prefer.
- Who uses it: security guards on night rounds, maintenance teams in plant rooms, site supervisors after dark, and emergency teams during power cuts.
- Charging: keep the lights on charge at the security cabin or control room so one is always ready, and charge them fully after each use.
- How many: one light per guard post or patrol team, plus a spare at the control room, is a common plan.
- Care: wipe the lens clean, do not leave the light in rain or direct sun for long, and check the strap and switch during the weekly security check.
